Valerie is the Business Development Officer at Cypress Private Client Group. In her role, Valerie is dedicated to enhancing Cypress’ presence and influence within its community. With a background in nonprofit leadership, Valerie previously directed the outreach and communications department for one of Howard County’s prominent nonprofits. Recognizing the inherent value of human connections, Valerie prioritizes client relations and fosters exceptional community engagement. As a lifelong resident of Maryland, she is motivated by her commitment to serving and giving back to her community. Leveraging her expertise in communications, marketing, and outreach, Valerie works to elevate awareness of Cypress’ offerings, expand business accessibility, and spearhead wellness initiatives for community enrichment. Valerie thrives on building meaningful connections and adopts a personalized approach to her role, ensuring clients feel embraced and supported in their financial journey.
Valerie graduated from St. Mary’s College of Maryland with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Public Policy. She is active in her community, enjoys volunteering, and serves on the Howard County Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professionals Network Board of Directors. Valerie enjoys an eclectic array of activities including riding her motorcycle, finding tasty new restaurants, and singing as the lead singer for a local pop/jazz band: Jane Bond Music.
