Shaun Desai

Wealth Management Intern

Shaunak Desai is a current senior at Reservoir High School and would like to pursue a major in business and finance moving forward during college. Some other hobbies and interests Shaunak has include drawing/sketching hyper-realistic art, playing tennis competitively both inside and outside of school, running for his school’s Cross Country and Track team, as well as hanging out with his friends and family whenever he can. His core strengths include effective time management, focused ambition, perseverance, empathy, leadership initiative, being outgoing, and fostering an inclusive environment for people of all demographics. Building his passion for business and finance over the past four years through his extensive participation in the Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) Business Club, culminating as a Chief Growth Officer and Top 3 qualifier in the state of Maryland for the Finance event, and variety of school coursework at Reservoir, Shaunak’s goal for the future is to be other people’s “next step” in managing their financial goals and aspirations, and wants to assist in building up their confidence and guiding them to make the right choices for both themselves and their wealth. Additionally, his time participating in a multitude of other clubs in his school, such as the MESA STEM Club, Math Team, National Honors Society and National Art Honors Society, as well as extracurriculars like the Leadership U Program in Howard County or the volunteering program at the Junior Tennis Champions Center (JTCC) in College Park, MD has provided him with the skills necessary to take on even greater leadership and collaborative opportunities, and has exposed him to diverse groups within his community that he can interact with and help prosper.

Shaunak is a resident of Maryland, currently living in Howard County within the city of Fulton, and thoroughly enjoys his time working as an intern at Cypress PCG to not only help expand his knowledge on information regarding wealth management and risk assessment, but also help grow the firm so that they can continue making a positive impact on those who need a financial helping hand.
